Practical Faith Lessons in Ministry
Someone has said, “Ministry is not primarily something we do for God but what God is doing in and through us.” Growing our faith is one of those things God does in us. How does He do that? In this talk, Carolyn Roth looks at examples of God’s faithfulness and shows that He can minister through us in our homes, community, church or cross culturally.

Stretch Out Your Hand Toward Him
The Master Planner lovingly labored over writing a recipe for each of our lives. In this session, we explore how God can take all the events of our lives and as we stretch our hand toward Him to seek Him, He redeems and transforms them. We sift through the pain and the pleasure of our own life story to recognize how God longs to bring us to a place of joy and freedom through acceptance of His trustworthy plan.

Building Unity with Diversity
God intends diversity to have a useful role in the building of His Kingdom. Whenever God designs something, He does it to build. The enemy tries to twist what is good in an effort to destroy. It is imperative that we learn to tell the difference. In this session, we explore the sources of diversity, its purpose, and ways to turn it from a potential blight to a blessing.

Business as Mission
As followers of Jesus, how involved in business should we be? Is it possible God has more in mind than just providing income for our families? What if God has a deeper purpose for our businesses than we have realized? In this session, we explore business as a platform for reaching out to others in our local communities, in foreign countries, and in restricted settings normally closed to foreign missionaries.

Beauty, Men, and Matriska
As women, we have the awesome privilege of bearing the image of God in many facets, one of which is beauty. This workshop is designed to help us as ladies recognize and own this God-given treasure, catch a glimpse of its power, and consider the value of veiling glory while living in a fallen world. As we hold this treasure with appropriate reverence, we’ll be better equipped to serve and offer the world a glimpse of God’s beauty.

Learning (and Enjoying) to Submit to Others
Why so many books on leadership and so little on subjection one to another? Why an emphasis on being filled with the Spirit, becoming a discerning believer, learning to praise our great God, becoming a grateful person, but little emphasis on submitting one to another? They are all mentioned in Eph. 5:17-21.

Reaching Quality Decisions through Engaged Discussions
Great board and administrative decisions are rooted in good discussions. The best decisions are the results of well-orchestrated discussions where issues are handled in the right way. In this session, Merle Herr teaches how to contribute your ideas and viewpoints and blend multiple perspectives into one great decision.

In the World, But Not Of the World
Mary Lois Shenk shares stories and principles from her experience of raising a family in an urban setting. How can we reach our neighbors and respond to their needs while keeping our childrens hearts? How can we direct their hearts toward God so that they develop a passion for advancing Gods Kingdom?

Why I am a Conservative Anabaptist and Intend to Remain One
This session reviews basic belief choices. It will briefly cover four choices: why I am a theist, why I am a Christian, why I am an Anabaptist, and why I am a conservative Mennonite. We also discuss what role conservative Anabaptists have in relation to the broader church and the world at large.

Finding Identity and Security in Christ
Serving others and serving with others constantly shows up our personal limitations and needs, which can easily make us feel insecure. How do we measure up? Do other people like us, or will they reject us when they see our inadequacies? To serve effectively, we must find our primary identity and security in Jesus.

Advocating for Neglected and Abused Children

This session describes serving as a court appointed special advocate (CASA volunteer) for neglected and abused children. In addition, Bethany will explore ways to relate well with these children in crisis and the people around them.
