The Dilemma of Higher Education

This panel explores the complex question of higher education for conservative Anabaptists through three guiding questions:

· What is higher education and why does it matter?

·  What is the real dilemma it poses?

·  How should we respond to this dilemma?

Drawing on Scripture, history, and personal experience, the panelists discuss the tension between the value of learning and the risks of pride, cultural assimilation, and formal degree-seeking. They affirm the cultivation of gifts while cautioning against models that pull believers away from humility, brotherhood, and Kingdom priorities. Overall, they encourage listeners to practice servanthood and understanding as they think about this subject.
