First Quarter 2026 Report

Updates

The site migration is now complete, and The Dock has been running smoothly with a noticeable improvement in uptime and overall reliability. We're grateful for how the new platform is serving our community of teachers, administrators, and families.

We're still fine-tuning a few areas and would genuinely appreciate your feedback—please don't hesitate to share your thoughts or suggestions.

Tech Infrastructure Costs

Our technology expenses are currently higher than usual due to the migration. During the transition, we ran both the old and new sites in parallel for several months to ensure stability. We also secured a two-year hosting subscription at a 70% discount. As a result, we expect these costs to drop significantly next year.

The Dock School Leaders Podcast

We're especially encouraged by the growth of The Dock School Leader Podcast. It saw significant growth compared to last year, with 156% more downloads (240 downloads in 2025 versus 546 downloads in 2026). Thank you for listening and sharing these encouraging talks with fellow school leaders!

Looking Ahead

In the second quarter of 2026, we're prioritizing the upload of our backlog of audio recordings from various teacher training events. The migration also highlighted many recordings that lack detailed descriptions. We're working to improve those so users can quickly understand the content—and so our resources become easier to discover through search engines.

We're also excited to deepen The Dock's physical presence in Conservative Anabaptist schools. This summer, we'll begin offering event packets that can be shipped to teacher training events across the country and around the world.

If you're interested in receiving or helping distribute these promotional materials, please email us at dock@thedockforlearning.org. We'd love to hear from you!
